Are you a new STE broker???

Ok . . . so now you just became an STE broker. You understand that you are involved in a new common-sense, internet business that combines e-commerce and the “Go-Green” movement.  You know there are lots of people all over the tri-state area making $3k, $5K, $15k and even $50k a month in their first year. You can’t wait to tell everyone that this is the greatest business model you have ever seen. Slow Down . . . .

HERE are the four C’s to inviting.  Remember: Say just enough and not too much:
COMPLIMENT them: “You are one of the most positive people I have ever met.”  “I have always admired what you do and your success.”  ALWAYS be sincere.

CREATE curiousity: “I’d like you to see an incredible technology that is literally changing the face of the retail world.  You won’t believe it until you see it!  This technology has created the best business model I have ever seen.  You owe it to yourself to see the demo.”  Recruit up…find successful and positive people.

CONTROL yourself:  once you have peaked curiosity, don’t give up any more information.  “You need to see the complete demo to get all your questions answered.”

COMMIT them to a Tour and/or Training call.  “When can you sit down with me” or “When can you get on a three-way call with me so we can listen to a Tour/Training call together?”

Take your time and do this the right way . . . you only have one chance to make a first impression.

I know, I know . . . . you’re saying to yourself  “Heck, today who isn’t looking to save some money, make some money and become more eco-friendly? ”

Yes… this is special…this is the opportunity you and your friends and contacts have been waiting for. FINALLY a way for the average person to make money off the internet without having  to be a super-techie. It’s also GREAT for networking your full-time job or business. There are literally millions of dollars in sales being generated at these meetings just during the gatherings . . . whether you’re a loan officer, a banker, an attorney, printer, insurance broker . . . you will meet an incredible group of high energy, talented and dynamic entrepreneurs and executives.

BEFORE you blab all over your first 10 people . . .  be sure to become an expert in STE within the next few hours. READ your entire back office, FAQs and watch all the videos. REPEAT . . . do some homework and learn how and what to say. This is actually easier than you think but most people make it harder because they become impatient OR they try to over think this.

Learn to keep it simple . . . Forrest Gump would be a millionaire at this business in 1 year . . . because he kept it simple.

The art of the invite – to the TOUR CALL

There are a number of ways to introduce this wonderful business to your contacts. Almost all of them can be successful – but just because one approach worked great with your college roommate doesn’t mean it will work for your attorney.  

The goal is simple . . . get the person to watch the tour call by saying as little as possible.  Of course the best way is to set an appointment and  meet with them in person, if possible,  and watch the tour call together. People who watch the overview alone while they check their text messages or are doing the dishes are not getting a good look.  You can also do conference calls and group meetings. . .  again – THE GOAL IS TO SIMPLY GET THEM ON THE NEXT TOUR CALL. 

No one can explain an internet technology . . . you must see it. So let’s just stick to what works and let the experts at STE do the work for you.  The Tour call should be the first time they ever hear any real details. Why? because this venture needs to be “shown” not ‘told’.  When you see a great movie that you want  to tell your friends about, you don’t start giving them details - you just tell them to go ”see” the movie. In fact, most people will cut you off and say “don’t ruin the movie for me”.  This is no different.

Below is a “loose script” template that you can customize any way you like.  This is what you can say on the phone, at a cocktail party or your kid’s sporting events. Do NOT vomit information on people. Keep it simple, pique their interest and back off. Just recommend the “movie” and follow up afterwards.

Again, notice that it never mentions STE or cash back, it just talks about becoming an e-commerce broker.  Let them know you will be calling after the tour call to ask what they thought and to answer any questions.

Always have someone on your team ready for a 3 way call for follow up questions. You can “learn while you earn”   . . . it also demonstrates that there is great support out there. 

AFTER the call mention in passing that just like anything on the web, you will find people trying to poke holes in the program. It’s all non-sense! Most of the negative stuff on some blog sites are from people in other networking businesses that are trying to save  their people from moving  to a better program. This is all about shopping at major retailers and not about selling some proprietary  ”super product”. Many other programs feel very threatened – for good reasons. Who else would make up lies and false stories about STE ?

 I have recently become a part-time e-commerce broker with a fast-
 growing eco-friendly internet company. While most companies are
 laying people off, we are growing by 7,000 – 10,000 brokers a month. My friend Joe Occhiogrosso’s business has made “over $270,000″ in his first year and has averaged over $35k a month in 2009. (update this each month  NEVER exaggerate or mislead) and he just got involved in June 2008. He makes money 24/7 as people shop for the things they need. Joe has introduced this to many attorneys and business owners as well as down-sized exceutives and ’stay-at-home’ parents. Again its only a part-time effort. 
 
What is an e-commerce broker? A person that earns commissions for on-line  transactions and purchases at Fortune 500 stores such as Target, The Gap, Macys, Bloomingdales, Sears, Sports Authority, Staples, Victoria’s Secret, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic and over 1,000 more popular names. These stores are so much more profitable when people shop on line (up to 60% more profitable) versus the huge overhead of brick and mortar stores. These types of stores are happy to pay us a commission for driving traffic their way.
 
 I am relatively new and do not have complete handle on all the details, but I know you can surely ‘earn while you learn’. I am not the most computer literate person out there, but trust me, its not difficult at all – I have seen enough to know that this is a great business to get into right NOW and will be growing exponentially for decades.  This combines two of the hottest trends in the world today: the environmental movement AND e-commerce. Some people are actually making over $100k a month ( I have met a few ) and this only started in 2008. Heck, I’d be happy to make just 10-20% of that each month ! There are lots of people doing that.

 Again, do not even mention the words ’shop to earn’ or even ‘cash-back’ shopping. When you mention ‘cash-back’ with residual income, people think you’re just getting your own money back and how can that be a lucrative business on its own?  Keep it simple and drive them to the tour call.
