Just a quick comment on the $100 /month ‘mandatory’ Earth shopping requirement. Shop to Earn can be a way to get cash back when you shop for all things you NEED to buy anyway AND it can be a business . . . A very serious and lucrative business. As a fellow business owner, that owns a “typical” brick and mortar office . . . this $100 “requirement” is a JOKE. Anyone that complains or even mentions it does not understand anything about owning/running a business. I own the Mum-n-DadsClub internet company with 5 associates. It costs over $5,000 in fixed costs to open the doors (rent, computers, copiers, marketing, insurance etc) My annual business insurance costs (errors and omissions ins., workers’ comp, office, Biz owner’s policy coverage etc ) is $2,200. That’s $183/ month.
To run my title business, I spend another $1,900 a MONTH for legal, accounting and pens, pads and other give-aways and lunches, dinners, trade shows, etc. . . all to remain competitive and stay in business. Guess what wer lost money in 2008 because of the down turn. Total: Min. of $2,083 to have a business.
Now let’s compare this to STE. All I have to do to stay in business is spend $100??? And I get 15% cash back and points and the $100 is a tax-deductible expense????and for this $100 I ACTUALLY GET PRODUCTS THAT I USE and EAT ANYWAY!Are you kidding me? I mean c’mon! Every household spends at least $200-$400 a month on shampoos, household cleansers, paper products, oral care, healthy snacks, meat, chicken, food etc. So all they ask is to re-direct the same money I am spending anyway and choose from over 15,000 NAME BRAND healthy/eco-friendly products? The same stuff people buy every day at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and other stores? Heck, I wish I received something . . . anything . . . for the extra $2,083I I am now spending just to stay in Business. . . . people please get real. By the way . . . I have friends with a family who spend well over $500 a month on the Earth side. I try to buy EVERYTHING for my business and house on STEarth . Its great for my kids, my health and my planet. With all due respect, AFTER YOU SHOW SOMEONE THE TOUR AND OVERVIEW, and then do a good job of answering all their questions and someone decides that they do not want to own and run an STE business because of the $100 requirement . . . then move on. They have no real business sense anywaySend this to all of your friends! | | Have a question Contact us | | DE Meetings under constr. | | | | | |
